About Us
More Planet Less Plastic is a movement started by a group of passionate humans striving for conscious living in our beautiful communities of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Our mission is to Help Educate, Create Volunteer Opportunities and Recycle Responsibly. We have partnered with 2 reputable local organizations: Costa Rica Makes Me Happy (recycles plastic into blocks to Build homes) and The Clean Wave (coordinates beach and road clean-ups).
The community is in urgent need of a "plastics-only" waste container, to collect and then transport recyclables to the CR Makes Me Happy facility, where waste gets converted into building blocks. Our current fundraising campaign is raising money for this container.

Our Current Campaign
We are organizing a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for a community '“plastics-only” waste container. The community is in urgent need of a "plastics-only" waste container to collect and then transport recyclables to the CR Makes Me Happy facility, where waste gets converted into building blocks. There is 1 pound of plastic in every Eco-Block. It takes 3,000 Eco-Blocks to build a green home. Each home goes to a family in need. See their website for more information!
